updateing database error

Postby dusan » Sun Aug 15, 2010 7:30 am

Hi,
I'm new to this so I probably got this wrong somewhere, but when I tried to update my wurfl database and a bunch of warnings appear (too many to be listed here...) and oddly at the end it says that the database is updated ok:
Total Time: 1.97477197647
Parse Time: 0.0655519962311 (TeraWurflXMLParser_SimpleXML)
Validate Time: 1.69277191162E-5
Sort Time: 0.00727009773254
Patch Time: 0.0251450538635
Database Time: 1.70834803581
Cache Rebuild Time: 0.168439865112
Number of Queries: 129
PHP Memory Usage: 877.45 KB
--------------------------------
WURFL Version: ()
WURFL Devices: 0
PATCH New Devices: 40
PATCH Merged Devices: 0

but clearly something is wrong. And when I try to test the script the following error appears:
Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to TeraWurfl::addTopLevelSettings() must be an array, null given, called in /home/a3721078/public_html/detection/TeraWurfl.php on line 334 and defined in /home/a3721078/public_html/detection/TeraWurfl.php on line 463
with a warning:
Warning: set_time_limit() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/a3721078/public_html/detection/check_wurfl.php on line 34

So please, if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it!
Thx!

Sorry I missed this post dusan! Can you try download the development version from http://github.com/kamermans/Tera-WURFL (click Download Source) and let me know if that version fixes the problem or sheds more light on it?
Thanks,

Can you please post the first 10 or so errors so that I can get a feel for the problem? Normally this fails due to a lack of memory, parse errors or a configuration error. I can see that there were 0 devices imported into the DB from the WURFL file, but there were 40 from the patch which is very strange. Perhaps your wurfl.xml is corrupt - what happens when you choose to update the WURFL from wurfl.sourceforge.net?
