routing rules

If anyone would care to drop suggestions on how to route phone builds to the user, it would be greatly appreciated
Current, I just use the midp1 , midp2, isMatch and brand rules for smartphone builds to deliver the correct app to the user. I see a many a mention of people using the 'iswireless' field to accomplish this. That feels to 'loose' for me... or am I being the usual paranoid dev guy?
