Different result in installed Tera-WURFL and Explorer

Postby julie » Tue Feb 15, 2011 12:18 pm

Hello, I have a question about different results from local installation of Tera-WURFL and the online Tera-WURFL Explorer.

I checked this user agent string: About-Blackberry-Standard/2.2.55
Online Tera-WURFL Explorer returns wurfl_id: blackberry_generic_ver2
local installation of Tera-WURFL returns: generic_web_browser

I updated my database from wurfl.sourceforge.net and cleared the device cache, but local installation still returns generic_web_browser. What is the difference, please? Should I change something in my config file?

Patch is enabled, patch file: custom_web_patch.xml;web_browsers_patch.xml
SIMPLE_DESKTOP_ENGINE_ENABLE = true

Thank you

Julie

Hi Julie, there have been some improvements in the way Blackberries are detected in the development version - this is the difference between the results. You can get the development version from my GitHub repository (click on Downloads): https://github.com/kamermans/Tera-WURFL
