iPhone preferred markup

Postby playadz » Thu Jul 01, 2010 3:08 am

Hi,

I just switched to new version of tera-wurfl and ran into a very annoying problem:

when I use it with wall4php, the preferred markup I got is chtml and if I use it with older version of tera wurfl, it gives me xhtmlmp (which is the one I expect)

this impacts the fact that <wall:caller> tags do not work properly, giving me back <number> instead of tel:<number>

How should I fix this.

Thanks again

This is a rather sticky problem. The actual problem is that the WURFL team has decided to change the preferred markup from html_wi_oma_xhtmlmp_1_0 to html_web_4_0. I am updating WALL4PHP so that it handles this properly.

Ok, I have decided to fully maintain WALL4PHP since the original author seems to have abandoned it. I think it will also be obsolete within a year or so, but until then I will keep it moving forward. I am hosting the development on Github located at http://github.com/kamermans/WALL4PHP-by-Tera-WURFL

You can download the current version (v1.2) from Github as mentioned above, or from the Tera-WURFL site: http://www.tera-wurfl.com/wiki/index.ph ... s#WALL4PHP
